I Really love this bike, but.
My girl and I just spent a week in North Carolina visiting my sister in Ashville.
We did the Tail of the Dragon and many of the lesser know hiways and roads in NC.
It was great! Unfortunately, I recently tore BOTH rotator cuffs, and I'm 65 years old.
I can still handle the bike well enough, but the bike weighs 770 lbs.
; 1200 lbs.
with Jan, myself, and gear.
It's hell on my shoulders after more than a few hours.
I need something lighter until I have shoulder surgery.
The bike is in great shape.
I bought the lowered seat ($900) as I have a 30 inseam.
I have the normal height seat if you prefer it.
I also added a luggage rack and passenger backrest ( $600).
They both can easily be removed if you're not into 2-up riding.
I bought new Michilan Road 6 tires before our NC trip.
They've got about 1,500 miles on them.
I changed the oil and filter 900 miles ago.
I've also added handle bar risers, and have a driver foot peg lowering kit, not yet installed.
If you have any questions, or need further information, feel free to message me.
Cheers and all the best.
John C.
Wilson PS:
It should be mandatory that you only ride the bike wearing a Darth Vader helmet PSS:
After I decided to keep the bike and removed the original add, true to my suggestion above, I bought a Darth Vader helmet and cape.
much to spouse's dismay.
a few weeks ago I snuck into the Houston Art Car Parade at the start.
I did'nt know every entry had their number prominently displayed on their vehicle.
After two blocks I was busted and told to exit three blocks ahead.
Just before I got to the exit point I saw three officials discussing something and pointing at me.
Yikes! It turned out the thousands of people I passed so far cheered for Darth Vader much more than the six cars ahead of me.
The officials asked me to stay in the parade until the end! PSSS:
The Darth Vader helmet and cape go with the bike.
