This custom frame-off build is by Kevin Archer, who started by changing the original dash, then shaved the cab's drip rails and filled the seam at the backside top of the cab.
Next the front and rear glass were flush-fit and the doors were converted to one-piece power windows, the bedside stake pockets were filled and the floor was smoothed to a glass finish.
Next the gas tank and filler were removed from behind the cab seat and relocated with an aluminum fuel cell mounted under the bed with the fuel-filler door installed in the rear bed.
The Chevrolet lettering was removed from the tailgate face and the tailgate latch handle was moved from the exterior to the interior of the tailgate.
The body was shaved of all OEM trim and emblems.
It has a hand-fabricated finish for a smooth firewall, with fabricated pans to fill the space between the grille and the radiator support and a filler panel to eliminate the space between the rear bumper and the body.
Customization was topped off by flush-fitting custom taillight lenses and bezels and smoothing the bumpers.
Special custom touches include grafted fender vents from a BMW M5 into the Chevrolet front fenders and fabricated body trim from brass stock that was hand-formed and chrome plated.
The truck is painted in a PPG basecoat/clearcoat of Desert Sand Mica.
