Thus emerged the BMW Alpina V8 Roadster, a more refined and appointed Z8.
The aluminum alloy body shell and chassis were produced at BMW's Dingolfing factory, while the engine with its hand-matched pistons, connecting rods, and polished ports were assembled at Alpina in Buchloe.
The powertrain and chassis were then mated in a dedicated shop at the Munich factory.
Just 555 examples of this Alpina variant would be built, each with a specially numbered plaque between the seats, replacing the standard Z8 badging.
AH62507 was completed in Summer 2003 and purchased new through Bavarian BMW of Michigan by Mr.
MacVoy, a resident of both Michigan and Florida.
The ALPINA remained within the same family and the greater Detroit area until late 2021.
Sporting Jet Black paint over Sport Red/Black leather upholstery, it is believed to be one of 37 examples finished as such in 2003 and comes complete with a host of original accompanying equipment and remains in excellent preserved and unmodified condition.
