Summary:
The Regional Manager originates, structures, and negotiates energy commodity deals with a primary focus on wholesale power markets and a secondary focus on wholesale gas markets in the Northeast, New England and Mid-Continent regions of the US.
This individual's efforts are to build and establish relationships with customers (i.
e.
Power Developers, Power Generators, Industrials, LDCs, Pipelines, Storage Operators, Market Aggregators, etc.
) with the intent to profitable grow customer flow business as well as execute structured transactions (i.
e.
Energy Management Arrangements, Tolls, HRCOs, Renewable Opportunities, Asset Management Arrangements, full requirements, capacity related transactions, peaking transaction, etc.
).
The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of the US physical and financial natural gas and power markets to structure transactions that meets the customers' needs, generate profits as well as captures arbitrage opportunities.
He or she must have a portfolio understanding of the infrastructure of both power and natural gas and proprietary position management within the specified regions to be able to develop unique deal structures to address the needs of the customer.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
Utilize existing relationships to negotiate complex structured deals Establish new business relationships with energy related counterpartiesCollaborate with traders to generate and grow profit margins and increase customer flow businessEvaluate and pursue higher value-added deal structures with customers (Energy Management Arrangements, Tolls, HRCOs, Asset Management Arrangements, supplies with embedded optionality, etc.
)Work with contracts and credit to negotiate contracts/ guarantees with potential counterpartiesBack-up origination activities in other region as neededWork with other NRG staff to effectively maximize the company's position and strategy in the market, including participation in market regulatory and policy directionsComply with all laws and regulations as well as internal NRG policies Working Conditions:

To be a office-based role once NRG's office-based employees return to their normal office locations Must be willing to travel (25%-50%) Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree Minimum 5 years work experience in power/ natural gas mid marketing, origination and tradingDemonstrate strong understanding of financial products, physical commodities (power and natural gas) and proven track record of developing and negotiating structured transactionsExisting strong relationships with key counterparties a significant plus (e.

) Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Established customer relationships and proven ability to work with traders, credit and risk management to create products designed to meet the needs of the customer.
Proven track record of negotiation and transactional skills in wholesale commodities of power and natural gas and a strong knowledge of contract structures.
Strong analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate and build long term business relationships.
Working knowledge of the power and natural gas infrastructure especially in the Northeast and New England regions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
