Account Manager - Project Manager

SUMMARY The Account Manager/Project Manager (AM/PM), who would ideally have Automotive F&I Industry, Insurance or similar industry-related experience, is responsible for the internal cross-discipline and cross-partner communication and management of strategic business initiatives.
This person brings a team together across the organization to define the business initiative, assemble project team members, fulfills a communications role with strategic partners, and develops/manages an implementation timeline, monitors progress and holds stakeholders accountable to that deadline.
The AM/PM is a true business partner who knows the organization and preferably related industry sector.
The ideal candidate knows how to think strategically while managing tactically, can spot opportunities and potential roadblocks to delivery timelines, is well organized, process-minded, and detail-oriented.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable making presentations and hosting meetings with both internal company leadership and external partner representatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES Account Management Tasks Manages client expectations regarding timing, schedule and process.
Gathers necessary information from external parties.
Fosters proper communication with clients, strategic partners, and internal GSFS Group team members in regards to progress on assigned initiatives.
Takes responsibility for overall communication on projects, providing insight to executive leadership members and coordinating client & strategic partner communication needs.
Recaps agreements and next steps from internal meetings, decisions, and deliverables in writing, including due dates, internal direction and documented history, sharing with internal and client teams accordingly.
Discovers and shares insight on potential business process improvements, as well as assist with the change management process as improvements are implemented.
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, client stakeholders, external partners, and executive leadership.
Project Management Tasks Develops project timeline and assigns individual responsibilities Provides work direction to project team including assignment and review of project work Tracks project cost, risks, resource requirements and timelines Identifies project-related problems, develops creative solutions and implements solution Creates and maintains project related documentation Generates project status reports and presents updates to key stakeholders and executive team Manages project requirements, timeline, and potential roadblocks Manages 3rd party vendors and monitors quality of vendor deliverables Continuously monitors project and escalates issues appropriately Help define and adhere to Project Management Methodology and other standards established within the PMO Ensures internal standard forms and documentation are maintained.
Works with various project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred Minimum of 5
years working experience in Automotive F&I Industry or related experience is strongly preferred but not absolutely necessary.
Polished leadership presence and strong facilitation skills Experience ad proficiency in making presentations to senior leadership & executive leadership teams Works independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations Familiarity with Project Management best practices Must be highly motivated, pay great attention to detail, be proactive and results oriented Must be able to effectively communicate and gain credibility within an organization Proven ability to impose and impress accountability PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business.
The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.
TRAVEL REQUIRED Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis).
