Summary:
This role couples responsibilities for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion with organizational development.
As a part of the larger organizational development strategy, the Director of DEI will lead the development of D&I business strategy, partner with leadership across lines of business and across all markets, provide subject matter expertise on relevant inclusion practices, and enhance our inclusion brand both inside and outside the company.
Essential Functions:
Lead the development, execution, and measurement of company-wide DEI strategy in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to foster equity and belonging for all.
Integrate and align DEI throughout all Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Analytics to support organization wide business performance.
Actively partner with business to shape strategy, manage change, improve processes, redesign organizational structures, identify and coach key talent, and realign/shift to assure high performing, engaged and inclusive teams Educate leadership on how to connect DEI to all aspects of our business; add a DEI lens across the company.
Partner with training and development to identify and develop key career development initiatives to ensure a constant pipeline of diverse, ready-now talent.
Lead mentorship program; linking experienced Camden leaders with employees to promote growth of diverse populations into leadership.
Partner cross-functionally to ensure DEI best practices are applied to how we create learning experiences with our customers and co-workers.
Support change management efforts through impact analysis, key stakeholder identification, communications planning, and thought partnership In partnership with Executive team, HR leadership and DEI committee to establish defined measures of success, metrics, and incremental goals for the short and long term.
Responsible for coordination and contributing towards Great Places to Work Build culture of inclusion and ensures long term sustainability of DEI engagement efforts Drive an integrated approach to diversity and inclusion by managing and implementing impactful initiatives across the organization.
Provide project support for managing shared initiatives and programs throughout Camden Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices and trends in diversity and inclusion Ability to analyze large sets of data and make actionable conclusions Experience creating and managing project plans to support effective implementation of programs and initiatives.
Leverage data to evaluate strategies and programs measuring the achievement of established goals and action plans Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives Proven ability to think strategically around DEI's application to HR, lines of business, and business objectives Ability to lead cross-functional projects with multiple partners, as proven by previous experience driving outcomes and managing resources Experience leading events and training programs, from development to delivery, in collaboration with key partners Results-oriented leader committed to meeting people where they are, with the expert ability to translate strategies into actionable, measurable, and achievable plans Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence and executive presence Team player with a positive attitude who can work effectively with a range of stakeholders across the business.
Ability to recognize key market trends and mitigate potential risks through proactive recommendations and thought leadership Job
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred 8
years of experience leading complex Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives, preferably for a publicly traded company.
Experience leading large scale projects with multiple components Strong understanding of industry benchmarks, leading practices, and innovations in DEI, as well as the strengths and drawbacks of what has been tried to date 5
years of experience in the area of talent development Success in coaching organizational leaders at the executive level related to DEI Previous DEI work with remote or geographically distributed employees is ideal And here's the fine print HR wants you to know:
