Aerospace Engineer, AST, Aerospace Flight Systems
In addition to the Basic Education Requirement, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-13), which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.To qualify for the GS-14:
One year of specialized experience includes researching ISS Program elements, their architecture, operational scenarios and facilities required to support development, test, verification and launch processing; acquiring requirements, specifications and performance criteria of spaceflight systems; and performing technical management duties as applied to large scale, multi-year development and operational aerospace systems.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
