Main Duties & Responsibilities
Lamons is one of the largest gasket and bolt suppliers in the world, committed to quality and local service. By first serving the needs of our customers and employees, we will achieve the leadership position in the global sealing products market through innovation, excellence and continuous improvement of all aspects of our business. The Director of Continuous Improvement will be the principal leader of Lamons continuous improvement methodology, training and execution and project management. They will be responsible for performance measurements and analysis, project execution, and savings delivery.
Responsibilities of the Director of Continuous Improvement:
Principal leader of Lamons continuous improvement methodology, training, execution and project management
Responsible for performance measurements and analysis, tracking data and identifying trends, Project identification and execution and savings delivery
Serve as the Manager for the Houston Plant's production related engineers.
Accountable for corporate wide savings initiatives.
Driving and initiating change across the organization
Helping to facilitate cultural change across the company
Ability to gather and compile date to createdevise new projects or initiatives
Act as a role model for the organization for changeimprovement
Qualifications
Required Qualifications of the Director of Continuous Improvement:
Bachelors of Science in Engineering and/or Physical Sciences
At least 10 years of professional experience in a Continuous Improvement role
Minimum of 2-3 years of Direct Management experience
Master Black Belt in LEAN or Six Sigma
Experience with Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, ISO, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Pareto Analysis, Data Optimization, Floor Layout and Training
Preferred Qualifications of the Director of Continuous Improvement:
MBA in Management, Finance, or Business
Experience in large automotive or assembly plant environments
