Certified/licensed Substance Abuse Counselor - Houston, TX

Completes comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan.
Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients' progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts.
Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.
Requirements Only candidates with LCDC, LPC, LMSW, and LMFT will be considered.
At least six months previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience in a corrections environment preferred.
Must be able to obtain clearance from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
