Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Position Overview/Summary
Responsible for all shipping and receiving in Gimpel Manufacturing Facility in Houston.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
Safety, Quality, and Customer Service positive mindset
Must have good communication skills, organized and eager to learn.
Basic computer skills up to and including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Adobe Acrobat are a must for this position.
Knowledge of traffic and logistics is a must
Capability to accurately perform and troubleshoot transactions in Oracle
Certified Forklift Operator (preferred)
Experience operating overhead crane
Experience completing inventory audits
Position Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for correct documentation and tracking of shipments
Responsible for coordinating and setting up transportation for shipments made out of the facility
Responsible for detail and accuracy of shipping and receiving documentation that is critical to the compliance of the operation
Responsible for company Export and Import compliance with record keeping
Responsible to safely move material with Forklift, Crane, and other tools
Responsible to offload and load equipment for transporting vehicles
Responsible to receive material and move from entry to location
Responsible to complete material handling transactions in Oracle
Responsible to issue purchase requisitions in Oracle when necessary
Support, coordinate, and/or manage inventory cycle counts
Coordinate and Support facility inventory audits
Work as mechanic if and when needed on various product lines
Other duties as assigned
