Summary:
Responsible for directing the retail business, within assigned regions, with the objective of providing maximum profit and return on invested capital, establishing current and long-range objectives, plans and budgets subject to corporate approval. Responsible for achieving results with respect to goals set in the following areas: sales, product management, shrinkage and expenses.

Essential Job Functions
Ensure all positions (RSD and Store Employees) are staffed with competent personnel. Recruit, hire, train, review and discipline employees as warranted.
Implement training programs for all employees. Provide for ongoing development of personnel within the market with a positive/supportive culture. Develop training programs to enhance or correct deficiencies as needed.
Develop action plans and strategies to improve the business of the retail stores.
Analyze operating results of the retail stores and take any steps necessary to adjust for shortfalls.
Make adjustments to merchandise assortment and presentation as necessary. Ensure all stores and regions are aware of and adhering to the changes.
Contribute ideas, strategies and innovations based on knowledge of local market conditions and store environment.
Ensure that all regions/stores create and adhere to a strong selling and customer service environment through training, follow up and a leadership style that focuses on building strong customer relationships.
Foster a positive attitude throughout the Division designed to encourage company loyalty and decrease turnover.
Ensure RSDs are completing all required physical inventories and related Loss Prevention assignments timely and accurately.
Recommend and review all new store locations.
Job Specifications:
Minimum
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and at least 8 years retail store management experience, including at least 3 years multi-outlet retail management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
Fluent language skills required to speak, read, and understands customers and GNC communications. Able to effectively communicate written and verbally.
Math skills necessary to comprehend basic financial reports and Profit & Loss Statements, including the ability to recognize trends and determine a course of action that is in the best interest of the company.
Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal and ethical behavior to manage the company's assets and employees. Adhere to GNC code of ethics and adhere to GNC's high standards of personal behavior.
Ensure outstanding customer service throughout the organization by properly hiring and training a team of professionals at all levels.
Ability to visit assigned locations to ensure store standards and customer service exceed company expectations.
Protect company assets.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise 10-15 Regional Sales Directors (RSDs).
Work Environment / Travel / Physical Demands
Must be able to work independently and be productive with limited remote supervision.
Able to drive long distances; willing to use air travel as required.
Bending, lifting, reaching for and moving merchandise.
Standing or walking for long periods of time.
Regular travel to assigned locations as determined by Division and company.
