Sysco is looking for full-time engineering professionals to join our growing Salesforce.com team. This team helps our business to increase engagement with our customers, creating more meaningful and authentic customer relationships. Our Salesforce.com engineers work together using distributed-agile delivery methodologies.
Be an early member of a growing team; help define and influence team culture & environment
Opportunity to work on a range of mobile and Internet platforms including: Salesforce, Android, iOS, and Web Applications
Work on solution-focused projects instead of pure client-facing sales and management
Participate in the dynamics of a consulting environment without typical client-facing pressures
Work in town serving local clients with a team of familiar faces you can grow with over time
Build hands-on experience with the latest technologies and delivery methodologies
Work in a fast-paced, agile project environment with small, focused teams
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Design and implement technical solutions to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements while ensuring quality and timely delivery
Work closely with business partners to understand business requirements
Work closely with various technology teams (Operations, Security, Infrastructure and PMO) to define and implement elegant, scalable and sustainable technical solutions using Salesforce Platform.
Work with other developers to design and implement innovative solutions with a focus on adhering to standards, best practices and code quality techniques
Establish and improve development standards and development processes
Maintain thorough subject matter expertise of the functionality and solution architecture
Responsible for the detailed design of technical solutions, Proof-of-Concepts (POC), prototyping and documentation of technical design throughout the SDLC process
Build and maintain effective working relationship with key technology team members
Stay current on emerging technologies in the custom development, SDLC tools, Continuous Integration, DevOps and automation technologies
Prepare and present technology upgrade proposals to leadership in the areas of custom development and Agile SDLC
Provide support for the deployment tasks and after hour on-call support
Lead troubleshooting and fixing defects for the planned releases and production
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
REQUIRED MINIMUM
Experience:
5
years of development and/or consulting experience
Experience with software/database development technologies (e.g. JAVA, JavaScript, XML, HTML ,PL/SQL, C#, CSS)
Familiarity with multiple programming environments and tools
Familiarity with Salesforce and its development tools
Familiarity with developing multi-platform software
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience and evangelize best practices
Knowledge of domain-driven design and application design patterns
Displays personal & corporate integrity
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Certified Java Developer or .Net is a big plus
Experience with Agile processes is preferred
Experience with DevOps (CI-CD) is preferred
Any experience or knowledge with Salesforce.com or Microsoft Dynamics
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position will be performed from a corporate facility in Houston, TX
No Travel
