Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business (LOB) to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution, and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
GTI Global Service Operations (GSO) is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's (JPMC) Global Technology Infrastructure. Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, GSO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while its Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
The Business Intelligence Continual Service Improvement (BI-CSI) team is part of Global Services Operations (GSO) area within GTI. The team aims to deliver Business Intelligence to improve IT operational stability and create efficiencies for JPMC stakeholders. This involves developing and delivering corporate production reporting, and utilizing system data analytics to identify improvement opportunities and enable effective business decisions.
The BI-CSI Senior Business Analyst will be significantly involved in Executive Corporate Report support and development, as well as analytical activities to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies.
Core responsibilities include:
Deliver and support production reporting, which includes the need to follow procedural and time sensitive tasks to prepare standard reports without flaws.
Drive report automation, standardization & certification activities.
Provide support for materials reviewed in Senior Management forums.
Address inefficiencies in data pulls and commentary capture to ensure timeliness, correctness and readability.
Drive requirements management process to thoroughly understand and document analytic requirements, including identification of data sources, relevant processing, and determining the optimal analytics and/or reporting tools required.
Create and leverage analytical approaches to perform analysis of domain specific source data to provide accurate statements and conclusions.
Drive analysis to reduce customer impacts and increase operational efficiency.
Effectively use Data Visualization techniques to enhance translation of data and findings into understandable documents.
Effectively present conclusions and recommendations to all levels of management.
Understand, promote and drive governance standards in relation to trends and tools utilized.
Lead multiple initiatives, establish and track success measures for each initiative and ensure delivery is met with various levels of timelines and expectations.
For Business Intelligence needs, act as a liaison between the LoBs, Service and Process Teams, and Application Development/Support.
Ability to accelerate report certification process and identify deeper decommission opportunities and reduce inventory reporting.
Minimum 5-7 years of Business Intelligence Analyst experience in a large, matrix structured, mission-critical (preferably financial services) environment required.
BS in Computer Science related field or ability to exhibit equivalent experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills. Technical report writing experience preferred.
Experience gathering data and establishing a proposal or business case in order to build and present a persuasive argument in favor of an observed need for improvement.
Experience in putting together executive summaries covering high level benefits of a project or initiative.
Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving and decision making skills including experience with project management methodologies required.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Experience working within a global organization, as well as working in a matrix management model utilizing virtual teams.
Able to multi-task with ease including a demonstrated track record of delivering multiple concurrent complex technical projects on time.
Working knowledge of ticketing systems, KPIs and metric analysis.
Experience in the support and implementation of technology processes and products.
Ability to probe and ask the right questions about the business value of enhancement requests to the tool and process.
Build relationships and leverage subject matter expertise to driving conversations and/or influence decisions/direction with Business and Technology areas.
Maintain contact and give and receive regular updates from product owners.
Meeting management - Must be able to resolve conflict and bring meeting participants to agreement on necessary priorities and deliverables.
Professional certification(s) in a defined best practice methodology (ITIL, Six Sigma) preferred.
Able to multi-task with ease including a demonstrated track record of delivering multiple concurrent complex technical projects on time.
Specific Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, charting, macros, calculations).
Experience working with other Microsoft Office applications; PowerPoint, Word, IE (and other browsers: E.g. Firefox), Outlook mail, Sharepoint and calendaring.
Strong experience with IBM Cognos is a plus.
Working knowledge of MS SQL, MS Access, JIRA, Business Objects, R Server/Studio is a plus.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
