Pipeline Integrity - Risk Analyst

Responsible for developing and implementing the pipeline Integrity Management Program (IMP) for facilities within the Kinder Morgan Natural Gas Pipelines business unit including performing risk analysis on assigned pipeline assets, providing pipeline integrity related technical support, development and continuous improvement of pipeline integrity related programs, systems and applications. The Risk Analyst will report to the Manager of Risk Engineering.The primary duties of this role are as follows:
Plan and execute requirements of the IMP including identifying, prioritizing, and addressing integrity threats for assigned pipeline assetsImplement the risk assessment/threat evaluation, risk ranking, long term assessment planning, P&M measure determination and tracking on selected pipeline assetsFully understand the pipeline integrity threats and risks for assigned pipeline assetsRun risk model(s) for specific assets including coordination of data collection, understanding the risk algorithms, reviewing and confirming results, and utilizing the risk outputDevelop and maintain long term ILI and integrity assessment plan for HCAs, non-HCA, and gathering pipelines, including working with Field Engineering and Project Management to develop budget estimates based upon the long term planTrack progress of integrity assessments during the year and provide annual reporting metricsInitiate and lead interaction with appropriate subject matter experts and other stakeholders for specific threats to assist in planning and to secure feedback on program improvementsProvide support on regulatory related response and special permits such as root cause analysis, developing and implementing response plans, and conducting special assignments related to alternative MAOP pipelines or special permitsProvide training and support to other company groups as needed such as Field Engineering, IT, Corrosion, In-line Inspection, Pipeline Data Systems, Engineering and OperationsIdentify and present potential pipeline integrity process improvements and follow-through with implementation once stakeholder/management agreement for the improvement is obtainedReview, edit and provide feedback regarding any proposed procedure or process variance requestsProvide support for other aspects of integrity related programs, processes, and procedures as requiredRepresent company in regulatory interactions as needed
Position Requirements
Bachelor s Degree (Equivalent work experience may be considered)Experience working with historical pipeline integrity datasets such as in-line inspection, pressure test, and direct assessment recordsStrong effective, timely, clear and concise verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated analytical and problem solving skills with logical thought processesDemonstrated ability for focused attention to detailAbility and willingness to perform all essential functions of the position including those listed aboveDemonstrated ability to develop and refine processesAbility and willingness to understand and implement all company/job related processes, procedures, guidelines and best practicesAbility and willingness to coordinate projects and programs with field operating personnel, project engineers, and outside entitiesMust be accountable and manage activities to keep required work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow company policies and proceduresStrong focus on safe work practices and active participation in the safety programAbility to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work independentlyAbility to successfully work in team environment with a focus on both internal and external customersDemonstrated initiative and adaptability to manage multiple work tasks and changing prioritiesAbility to interpret industry and company standards and proceduresStrong computer skills including but not limited to:
advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointMaintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performanceMust possess and maintain a valid driver s license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurersSubject to PHMSA compliant drug testing programWork ConditionsMust be willing and able to work in a corporate environmentMay require travel up to 10% depending on needsMust be willing and able to carry a cell phone and respond as neededExtended periods of sitting may be requiredPreferred Experience, Skills and KnowledgeDemonstrated ability to identify, characterize, communicate, and resolve complex pipeline data issues in support of a risk programDemonstrated ability to identify gaps in processes and follow through with solutionsDemonstrated ability to review, organize, and utilize detailed informationDemonstrated ability to develop, write, and document processes and proceduresKnowledge of PHMSA Part 192 regulations with detailed knowledge of Subpart O Pipeline Integrity RegulationsKnowledge and understanding of ASME B31.8S standardKnowledge in various phases of corrosion as related to the pipeline industry including internal, external and atmospheric corrosionUnderstanding of methods utilized for calculating failure pressures and safe pressure on conventional corrosion related anomaliesKnowledge of general pipeline operations standards, practices and proceduresFundamental knowledge of pipeline integrity threats and their associated mechanisms

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
