Job SummaryPerforms clerical tasks to support timely escrow closings and title recordings, including processing of recording packages and finalizing policies. Conducts title research for customers, including title research for escrow openings. Prepares reports for ownership and chain of title. Assists in opening files with direct operations. Investigates and interprets tax records in order to determine tax liability. Documents all research for customer service requests. Provides customer service to outside customers, marketing and escrow team. Processes trustee sale requests and updates. Processes billing for trustee sale and direct title requests.
Interprets and acts on instructions from customers, escrow team and title officers
Searches, examines and interprets real estate documents such as deeds, deeds of trust, assignments and reconveyances, subdivision maps, assessor parcel maps, moderately complex metes and bounds legal descriptions, section and lot and block from direct base working directly with title officer, marketing and escrow team
Assists in training associates
Special technical responsibilities will include processing recording packages after underwriters have approved , assisting in the preparation of construction date down endorsements, proofing policies before finalizing, preparing marketing reports and billing for trustee sale and direct order requests
Job Qualifications Must have high school diploma or equivalent
3
years escrow/title experience
Paralegal experience is a plus but not required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management ability
Proficient in MS Office

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
