Temp to Perm Switch-Rack Assembly

Assemble electrical switch-racks and devices to meet electrical codes and customer specifications from engineering prints.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for piping and wire switch rack according to provided electrical schematics and drawing
Mounting enclosures including motor starters, circuit breakers & disconnects (per drawings).
Dimensionally lay out structure, copper bus, punch, drill and heat shrink as required.
Mount bus duct and enclosures using a variety of methods including drilling and tapping.
Follow detailed rack assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System.
Maintain a safe and organized work area at all time, report maintenance issues to supervision.
Support 5S Initiatives throughout department
Comply with all company safety and security policies including use of PPE.
Participate in training and continuing education as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Work overtime as required
Required Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years previous piping and panel wiring experience
Able to operate thread piping machine
Ability to read and work from engineering prints, both electrical and mechanical
Must be able to work with little or no supervision in a safe and efficient manner
Experienced in the proper and safe use of hand and light power tools
Able to be trained and certified on fork lifts and boom lifter
Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting and standing positions (includes working off ladders) for long periods of time (in excess of one hour)
Effective communication skills:
verbal and written (English)
Follow written and/or oral instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience
Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts
