Account Manager (Government)

We are currently looking for a Government Account Manager with a specific focus within Texas and Louisiana Federal installations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build a Government team within Texas and Louisiana. The position can be based in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, or Waco but you will be responsible for travel within all of Texas and Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have the following
Experience:
Thorough understanding of government acquisition processes, procurement, contract vehicles, government budget and buying cycles
Ability to develop and maintain a pipeline of new Gov't opportunities while closing existing opportunities
Ability to coordinate with appropriate internal groups to generate and deliver winning Contract Bids, Proposals, RFI/RFP Responses, and Statements of Work.
Proven success as an individual contributor, as a team player, and as a developer of new accounts
Solicit new business, monitor all agreement obligations, give presentations on new products and services, and communicate same with assigned locations and accounts; recommend changes to processes to improve cost position and profitability.
Serve as field management contact at assigned locations/accounts; present customer needs/concerns; if primary Company contact at headquarters: maintain existing national agreements for accounts, and serve as primary contact and authority on agreements for assigned accounts.
Organize call schedule to maximize sales and reduce expenses.
Attain or exceed sales and profit budgets.

Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience required: Five or more years' progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or operating experience
High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Job Requirements
6-10 years of experience preferred: Previous Account Representative experience preferred
Four-year degree preferred: Business degree or related major

Working Conditions
Traditional office environment. Occasional travel required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
