Desktop Support Technician


Summary: As a part of the Bearings and Compression IT team, install, configure, and maintain personal computer (PC) systems and related technology. Provide deskside support for Pearland, TX facility. This includes software and hardware support. Resolving issues for employees in a timely manner while conforming to SLA guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Deploy computers, peripherals, smartphones, and VOIP phones
Maintain active directory accounts of users and computers
Configure network access for PCs and printers
Maintain computer related equipment in office and shop locations
Perform upgrades, maintenance and repair of IT equipment.
Diagnose operational problems and take corrective action as necessary.
Install software and upgrades and assist employees as required in their use
Contribute to documentation of common issues and resolutions
Work under the direction of senior staff to troubleshoot complex issues within various software packages
Work with IT personnel at other locations throughout the corporation to provide user support at those locations as required.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Associates degree in computer science or related field.
Two years of experience in the support and maintenance of personal computers and related equipment.
Preferred experience with building and deploying computers utilizing WDS
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience offering remote support via phone, e-mail, and remote support tools
Strong knowledge of Windows Servers and Windows Active Directory
Strong ability to analyze hardware and software problems and develop technical solutions.
Understanding of application interdependencies and best practices

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
