Truck Driver – CDL Class A/Touch Freight – Penske Logistics

$3000.00 SIGN-ON
Route/Activity -- Truck drivers are responsible for delivering product to customers. Drivers unload at each stop, typically using a pallet jack and hand truck. Drivers must be able to move approximately 150 - 200 pounds on a had truck. Drivers are responsible for breaking down pallets and moving product into the store. Drivers will average 14 - 18 stops per route. Drivers are responsible for delivering cold product (dairy) and ambient product (paper and dry goods) into each store. Some stores are open during delivery.
Shift -- Typical start time is between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Typical end time is between 3:am and 4:00 am.
Schedule is 5 days on, 2 days off, must be available to work Holidays and Weekends, Starbucks never closes Penske doesn't stop delivering
Drivers will average 14 - 18 stops per route at a STOP PAY of $10.25- $14.00 each .40 CPM
(stop pay ranges from $143.50 to $252.00 a night plus mileage)
Routes at 18 stops have a helper on board.
Equipment -- 36' and 48' refrigerated trailer with LIFTGATES
Compensation -- Activity Base Pay/Paid Weekly. (Driver will average $900 - $1000 weekly)

Responsibilities:
Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck with hand dolly
Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.

2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years or
1 year verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 2 years with a clean MVR
3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents

Safety oriented
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
