UX Manager or UX Lead Designer


JOB SUMMARY


As the User Experience (UX) Manager you will be responsible for defining the user experience and user interface strategy for GS Marketing solutions. You will drive the overall design solutions based on design thinking that is aligned with GSM'S business goals and effectively and efficiently facilitate the delivery of GSM products to market. You will partner with GS Marketing product management to develop the product strategy. You are an advocate for the end user. You are constantly thinking about how the user will experience the product, conducting and analyzing user research with the end goal of ensuring the needs of the user are met. You are driven by a desire to constantly produce delightful, intuitive, and valuable product experiences.


Essential Functions



  • Define the UX strategy for GS Marketing solutions and drive the overall design solutions based business goals, product requirements, user testing, and design thinkingLead a team accountable for the delivery, quality, and success of the user experience for GS Marketing solutions throughout the entire lifecycle, including optimization and new features.

  • Lead all aspects of the design process (research, ideation, design and user testing).

  • Partner with product management and development, championing the creation of user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, metrics and usability findings.

  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams across various locations in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.

  • Responsible for transforming user feedback into wireframes, journey maps and visual design models that can be digested into sprints and integrated into our product.

  • Create processes and feedback loops that allow you to validate designs through A/B testing, quantitative and/or qualitative usability research methods.

  • Present and effectively communicate concepts to internal and external clients.

  • Manage multiple projects from concept to completion.

  • Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage 2 UX and Product Designers.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education and Experience requirements:


Bachelor degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI) or related field. Master degree preferred.



  • 6
    years of experience as a user experience designer, information architect, interaction designer or similar.

  • Experience designing for a variety of form factors including mobile, mobile app, and desktop.

  • Experience delivering on product life-cycle design projects -- from design strategy through execution.

  • Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions; experience in tools such as Axure, Balsamiq, OmniGraffle, Pixate.

  • Experience conducting user research methods.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and self-directed working style.

  • A portfolio of work demonstrating human-centered design solutions, and showing your ability to turn ideas into strong and unique creative vision.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  • Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g) UX Certified or UX Master desired


Is eligible to legally work in the United States.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
