The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible to assist with the preparation of medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations. Primary duties include receiving, processing, billing, preparing and packaging prescriptions.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Enters prescription/physician order data into the pharmacys data system
Process prescription as ordered
Knowledgeable and experienced in recognizing medication trade names, generic names, dosage, routes of administration, and frequency
Assist in inventory management
May assist with the training of new pharmacy technicians
Participates in the development and achievement of continuous quality improvement
Promotes teamwork through cooperation and communication to attain company and departmental goals
Required observance of Universal Precautions
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification CPHT, issued by PTCB in good standing
Minimum one year experience
Compounding experience, not required
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
Standing and walking, sitting during shift
Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 lbs. using back safety measures
Pushing and pulling equipment using back safety measures

Compensation:
DOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
