Overview:
Based at Elliotts Houston Sales Office, the Area Sales Manager takes on the Sales functions for major end user and EPC accounts in Houston and throughout the Texas region.
Responsibilities:
Maintain direct customer account responsibility to call on, build relationships with, develop and handle opportunities for Elliott business. Aggressively seek new business and new customer relationships.
Coordinate activities within assigned customer base and be responsive to customer project needs.
Create and maintain strategic plans to maximize chance of winning opportunities.
Coordinate internal technical support activities with Marketing Engineers, Application Engineers and other professionals in the preparation and submittal of turbo machinery proposals applicable to the respective accounts/area of responsibility.
Coordinate via direct involvement project negotiations of final technical requirements and commercial terms applicable to a potential order, along with other expert support staff.
Perform reporting tasks in CRM platform and other tasks as assigned and maintain organizational maps for assigned customer base.
Coordinate all commercial activities with support from other team members on opportunities brought into firm bidding phase.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
Basic knowledge of rotating equipment, metallurgy, gas properties, fluid dynamics, etc.
Minimum 5 years Marketing, Application and/or Sales experience related to rotating machinery at users and/or engineering contractor levels.
Knowledge in the selection and application of Elliott equipment in the specified markets served.
Basic understanding of commercial and financial principals as well as basic computer skills and software knowledge.
Good listening, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
High degree of self-motivation and drive, high energy level to work in a fast paced, highly technical and competitive environment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5 - 10 years of direct Sales experience with other process gas compressor manufacturer.
Individual with high aptitude and resolve to work and contribute to a team environment.
