Director of Information Technology

The Director of Information Technology will be responsible for establishing and directing the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for the information technology department as well as determining the companys long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the companys business objectives. In his/her spare time, the Director will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the department.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Aligns technology strategies with corporate goals and drives major initiatives to support business growth and guarantee the consistency of the business value of information technology services
Analyzes complex business needs of the business units and recommends applicable technical solutions
Directs all aspects of information technology, including operations, business and process applications, and infrastructure services
Leads the process of recommending technologies, procedures, processes and policies for maintaining consistent, effective and efficient use of information technology to improve business performance
Allocates financial and personnel resources; makes decisions on projects and capital expenditures priorities
Manages Information Technology staff responsible for the delivery of applications and services across the enterprise, and for the management of all corporate data and networking infrastructure
Fosters and maintains good relationships with senior management
Responsible for budget development and IT expense oversight and management
REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President of Shared Services and COO
Desired Skills & Experience
MUST HAVE:
5-10 years of IT Project Management experience
Experience managing 3rd party technology vendors
3
years in an IT management role - lead, supervisor, manager or director
Broad technical knowledge including LAN/WAN networking concepts, wireless systems, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, VMWare, Mac OSX
Outgoing/engaging personality
Bachelors degree in related field
Ability to relocate (relocation assistance provided)
PREFERRED:
Computer Network Architecture experience highly preferred
Graduate degree in IT-related field or MBA
Experience in the healthcare industry
Experience building business cases
Experience with PCI compliance strongly preferred
Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management
Experience with developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Knowledge of privacy and other industry compliance requirements
A PLUS:
Experiencing managing campus-wide network and systems

Experience:
Experience leading aspects of an organizations technology function, including successfully establishing and executing technology strategy that delivers business results and fosters growth, innovation, and ongoing improvement
Extensive cross-functional business skills
Strong analytic capabilities and experience with a variety of analytic techniques
Proven ability to establish and maintain business relationships
Ability to influence work in a highly entrepreneurial environment, and comfort with ambiguityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
