The Digital Applications Senior Java/JEE Developer will architect, design and implement technical solutions to meet the needs of business communities in various divisions leveraging portal and content management systems. In this role, the Developer will be working with business stakeholders and project managers to understand the requirements, formulate technical designs, lead a technical team to implement and test the solutions to ensure compliance to requirements and technical standards. The Developer will also provide development support to production web sites.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in Back Log grooming and Sprint Planning sessions
Design and develop EE application components with minimal supervision
Participate in technical reviews as part of the development process
Collaborate with the global team in continuous improvement efforts
Senior level, hands-on experience with
Software development methodologies
Troubleshooting the EE stack
OO design and development
EE integration with SOAP and REST
Databases and data modeling
Sever and network infrastructure
In Depth knowledge of
EE Web Application Servers (WebSphere preferred)
EE technologies EJB, JSP, JMS, JNDI, etc.
Open source frameworks; Spring, Spring MVC and Hibernate
Open source tools Log4j, Ant, Maven and Gradle
SQL databases (Oracle preferred)
IDE's RAD or Eclipse
Familiar with:
JSR 168 and 286; OpenText Portal (v8.x preferred)
OpenText Content Management (v8.1 preferred)
HP Autonomy IDOL
EDUCATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE /SKILLS

years experience in Information Technology industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong technical presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and requests
ADDITIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE /SKILLS
Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus
Experience working with agile software development is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
