Symantec Corporation has openings for Software QA Engineers in Houston, Texas. Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for Symantec web products. Design, develop and execute software test plans. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Debug software products through use of tests. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure functionality and recommend corrective action. Create test specifications based on product requirement documents and functional specifications. Participate in the design and development of infrastructure and tools. Automate test cases using WebDriver, Selenium, NUnit, QUnit and phantomJS. Run memory and performance profiling of the web application and analyze profiler results to identify memory leaks and provide remediation techniques to improve application performance. Evaluate performance issues identified by open source front end performance profilers like YSlow/fireBug and provide optimization solutions for potential problem areas. Execute and report status on automated test suites. Responsible for reviewing design specification and driving test design. Report software defects in a detailed and efficient manner. Work with development, support, and product management to troubleshoot software defects. Responsible for design and development of test plan and test cases, functional, integration, testing, automation, E2E and all the related testing for the area. Coordinate with product developers prior to code freeze to define and execute unit and integration level tests on new features and components in Symantecs consumer software products. Responsible for final quality certification, ensuring production readiness and the deployment of the application to customer facing environment. Multiple positions, various types/levels. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
