Qualifications:
-Masters degree in computer science
- Two years experience in enterprise software development
-Alternate requirement accepted: Bachelors in Computer Science with 4 years experience in enterprise software development
- Must have extensive industry experience with the following: Java development; MS SQL Server 2012 and/or Oracle 11g and above, Agile Development
- Prior work experience with the following required: Test Driven Development; Development in a Multithreaded Environment; working with distributed systems; XML and XSL; OLAP, MDX, or DAX required
- Experience with at least one IDE required: Eclipse, NetBeans etc.
- Experience with at least one source control system: CVS, Mercurial, GitHub etc.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Implement scalable, multi-threaded, distributed, suite of enterprise-class pricing and revenue management products, including pricing, forecasting and optimization. Handle java and database performance tuning for Big Data. Design, development, and debugging of code. Participate in the integration and testing cycles. Conduct code reviews - standards, performance, and conformance to PROS architecture. Ensure that all assigned features follow the PROS development process before a release. Handle Agile Processes like, Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives and Sprint Demos for every release cycle. Help with support of customer issues and questions. Handle the documentation of features for various modules. Assist in the solution of technical problems within the development team. Help in scope and resource planning for the release cycle. Provide mentoring for less-experienced team members both onsite and offshore. Review and recommend tools to enhance PROS development and product capabilities. Create and review Product Release Notes. Follow and provide feedback to improve the PROS development process. This position will require the use of an expertise in Linux and Unix servers as well as Big Data, and OPL framework. In addition, this position will utilize Agile tools like JIRA, Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence.
