Senior Technical Manager, perm, Houston,TX Job Summary :
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Central Support; the Sr Technical Manager will be responsible for managing a dynamic portfolio of related technology systems and associated support resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
This position includes the following duties.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Oversight of Maintenance and Support of client system Advise client on architecture and infrastructure platform requirements Understand project resource needs and match to development pool and make project assignments.
Collaborate with ETC Central Support management team on systems support transition and post go-live software maintenance.
Partner with ETC Software QA Manager on process improvement.
Demonstrated understanding of security best practices, specifically PCI Qualifications/Requirements :

years of direct work experience in an enterprise IT support capacity.

years of direct work experience in high-demand operational environments.
10
years of direct work experience in system analysis, design, and implementation of web-based applications.
5
years of direct work experience in an enterprise IT project management capacity.
5
years of direct work experience managing external customers and projects.
5
years of experience in a software quality control and release management environment.
Expert project management skills; PMP certification a plus.
Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
Additional Desired Requirements:
Strong team leadership and overall communication skills.
Possess the acumen necessary to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities while simultaneously managing projects with the urgency of immediate operation demands.
Demonstrated experience in vendor management.
Able to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
Able to work independently or as a part of a larger team.
Demonstrated experience with SAN environments; specifically Hitachi.
Demonstrated experience with Oracle enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience with Unix/Solaris, Linux and Windows Server environments.
Educational Requirements:
Required:
Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent; PMP certification.
Desired:
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent.
