This role will handle everything from freight pricing to data entry and analysis, carrier and customer relationships, freight tracing and logistical problem solving.
The Logistics Analyst uses analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand Logistics operations, processes and activities, and controls or reduces costs.
Analyst will be responsible for data management, analyzing carrier performance, identifying problems, and developing, recommending, and implementing solutions to solve the problems.
Enter carrier freight rates into SAP and track rates periodically.
Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and other service providers to optimize transportation costs while maintaining service levels.
Prepare reports and analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics efficiency and effectiveness.
Analyze and adjust weekly freight payment data for accuracy, carrier leakage.
Verify and process invoices for carrier related fees.
Work with vendor, and carriers in addressing carrier-billing issues that affect cost per kg / lb.

Provide assistance in setting transportation budget and asset requirements.
Identify and resolve cost variance drivers.
Review bills-of-lading for accuracy.
Enter bill-of-lading data into SAP.
Support CSR's and Logistics Team as needed.
Support the business through ad-hoc queries and create and analyze reports to support business execution.
Track and research historical issues to confirm payment responsibilities Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
The requirements for this position are listed below:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Possessing an understanding of Logistics and Accounting basics is required.
Minimum of 2 years' work experience in a logistics setting SAP exp.
is required.
Entering Freight rates / Billing Self-starter who can work autonomously in a fast-past environment.
People-focused and demonstrate a positive attitude while working with both internal and external customers.
Ability to make decisions while discerning priorities during periods of multiple urgent demands.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and other stakeholders.
