As part of this commitment, we are looking to train aspiring Patient Care Technicians to become certified and work with us! Duties and Responsibilities Observes and report all patient concerns/changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
Assists in specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures according to departmental procedures.
Aid with movement and placement of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
Serves as liaison between patient care units and all other patient-related departments.
Performs pre-census and validates daily admission, discharge, and census lists, on an as-needed basis.
Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
Demonstrates flexibility, organization, and multitasking.
Able to function under stressful situations.
Answers telephone, intercom, and call lights politely using appropriate telephone etiquette and communicates information to the right staff/family/patient.
Requirements High School Diploma or GED Certificate Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb At least 18 years old Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Proof of COVID vaccination Ability to undergo criminal and drug background check Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and perform tasks such as lifting and moving patients Benefits Competitive pay rate of $16 - $20 Holidays & Paid Time Off Bereavement Leave Medical, dental, vision insurance Generous paid time off Major holidays off 401k program Career development opportunities Company lunches.
