ICS ICS Houston, TX Houston, TX Full-time Full-time $19 - $24 an hour $19 - $24 an hour 5 days ago 5 days ago 5 days ago This is a position that focuses on off-line tasks to ensure our customers are secure and up to date on all security-related items including anti-virus, patch management, backups and network scans.
It is a great role for someone who is learning IT and would like to continue developing their IT skills while simultaneously learning how IT relates to business practices and decision making.
Anti-virus :
All customers should be scanned for anti-virus to ensure all computers on the network have anti-virus and it is up to date.
Every issue should be resolved within 72 business hours.
A ticket should be created for resolution for every issue found.
Windows Patch Management :
This position is responsible for monitoring patch management to ensure all servers and PC's are kept up to date with patch management.
No machine should have an ICS authorized patch that is not installed on a machine for longer than 7 days.
All issues should be documented with a ticket and a resolution.
Backups:
This position monitors and reports on all backup issues.
Every customer every day should be checked for backup integrity.
The engineer may, if required, assign this to an RSE or manager for remediation.
Every issue should be logged with a ticket and a resolution.
Network Security Scans:
Every IT customer should have a network security scan run quarterly.
Ensure every customer is scheduled for quarterly scans.
Resolve issues that are within ICS's scope with an associated documented ticket.
For any items that require a customer purchase or authorization, you should document for sales what the issue is, why it is important to resolve and a recommendation for how ICS should resolve this for the client.
Making sure that sales has the above document signed or escalate to management if not complete within 30 days of submittal Properly storing the results of the scans in an organized ICS folder for a period of 6 years.
Computer Warranties ICS software sends reports to customers every month regarding their computer warranties.
We need to make sure that Active Directory is clean per client and that the reports generated from Warranty Master are accurate so the customer is not misinformed.
HIPAA Compliance Utilizing ICS's HIPAA module to run annual Security Risk Assessments for all ICS customers who are CE's.
The following items should be done:
Ensure every customer is scheduled for yearly SRA's.
Resolve issues that are within ICS's scope with an associated documented ticket.
For any items that requires a customer purchase or authorization, you should document for sales what the issue is, why it is important to resolve and a recommendation for how ICS should resolve this for the client.
This should be documented in an ICS approved manner.
It is very important that every outstanding security item is well documented, communicated and signed by the client.
Making sure that sales has the above document signed or escalate to management if not complete within 30 days of submittal Properly storing the results of the scans in an organized ICS folder for a period of 6 years.
