Security Manager

Job DescriptionPrimary Purpose The Security Manager reports to the Director of HSSE - SI US.
Incumbent is responsible for effectively leading Security services and asset (lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, intellectual property) protection for SI US locations.
The Security Manager will oversee the implementation of the Site Facility Security Plan to ensure that the Facility Security Officer and facilities are ready to respond to any changes to a MARSEC Level.
This position coordinates activities between Sempra Corporate Security, third-party service providers, regulatory agencies, local law enforcement, and local emergency response agencies to protect the resources, assets, and workers required to operate SI US facilities.
The position will also assist with disaster response or crisis management activities, emergency plans and procedures for natural (e.
g.
, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes), man-made disasters (e.
g.
, hazardous materials spills), and other Security concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities Manages SI US Security services and Security infrastructure design and implementation.
Provides subject matter expert recommendations on Security best practices.
Manages and oversees the training of site workforce, contractors visitors for Security oversight responsibilities.
Monitors, maintains, communicates, and coordinates all company Security activities with federal, state, and local agencies and outside organizations such as the United States Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and local law enforcement, to facilitate compliance and effective implementation of plans.
Reviews, monitors and ensures all new regulatory and Sempra Corporate Security initiatives are effectively completed and compliant with existing Security regulations across SI US locations.
Manages, conducts, and supervises Security and emergency response exercises/drills with federal, state, and local agencies.
Develops and maintains security training programs, procedures, audits, inspections, assessments, and training records.
Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Homeland Security, Security Management, or Emergency Response, or relevant discipline or equivalent work/military experience required.
Experience 10
years of applicable security-related experience required.
7
years of LNG industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess the ability to utilize various software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, DataStream, MAX, SharePoint, etc.
Extensive experience in implementing best practices of security.
Strong analytical thinking and utilizing concise information while working through problems and implementing solutions.
Possess effective planning and organizational skills, meets work deadlines, and delivers results.
Possess the ability to present information, results, and findings to technical and management-level type personnel.
Possess in-depth knowledge of the applicable codes and regulations associated with port Security, Coast Guard, and other relevant agencies.
Strong knowledge of security protocols and policies, and with legal regulations regarding security.
Possess experience in monitoring Security performance and conducting audits and investigations.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Licenses and CertificationsTransportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) required.
Other QualificationsAbility to travel.
