vi/YQV7Jrq Walk ins are welcome! Essential Functions Conduct Screening Procedures:
Perform screening checks on airport workers and personnel using various security technologies and protocols, including Handheld Metal Detectors, portable explosive trace detection (ETD), and physical searches as required.
Monitor Access Points:
Ensure that only authorized personnel with valid identification are allowed access to restricted areas of the airport, such as the airside and secure zones.
Enforce Security Regulations:
Uphold and enforce airport security policies, regulations, and procedures set forth by aviation authorities and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) or relevant governing bodies.
Identify Security Threats:
Recognize and respond to potential security risks, suspicious behavior, and prohibited items, and take appropriate action following established guidelines.
Communicate Effectively:
Interact professionally and courteously with airport employees and workers during screening processes, explaining procedures and addressing concerns as needed.
Report Incidents:
Document any security incidents, breaches, or irregularities promptly and accurately, and report them to the appropriate authorities or supervisor.
Maintain Equipment:
Ensure proper functioning and calibration of screening equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the relevant parties.
Collaborate with Team Members:
Work closely with fellow screening officers, airport security personnel, and law enforcement to foster a coordinated and effective security environment.
Stay Informed:
Stay updated with current security trends, potential threats, and changes in screening procedures through ongoing training and briefings.
Support Emergency Response:
Assist in emergency situations, such as evacuations, security breaches, or any other incidents that may require immediate action.

Minimum Qualifications Must possess a High-School Diploma or G.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Minimum of 12 months previous Screening/Security Officer experience.
Must possess strong customer service skills.
Must be able to pass a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal references.
Must possess a valid State issued Driver's License or a valid State Issued I.
D.
card.
Must be able to pass pre-employment, annual & random drug screenings.
Must have a valid Texas guard license.
(Must possess unexpired state-issued guard license on the first day of duty.

Must have reliable transportation.
Must be flexible and willing to work shifts equal to full time employment, including days, nights & overnight, inclusive of weekends and holidays.

Upon completion of initial training, must possess and be able to demonstrate proficiency in performing essential functions and competencies at a satisfactory level on a consistent basis.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
