You will receive requests, transmit pickup/delivery messages to customers and route/track shipments.
The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in a fast pace environment.
You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.
The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
Responsibilities Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions Route and track orders for pickup or delivery Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance Provide customers with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements Enter data in computer system Understand DOT hours of service and dispatch accordingly Monitor drivers continuously throughout the day Skills Domestic freight experience Proven experience with Domestic Ops or relevant freight position Fast typing with experience in data entry Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations Needs to be able to communicate thoroughly with the drivers, customers, and all departments within the company Time management of tasks through the day is a must Active listener with excellent communication skills Sound judgement and critical thinking Knowledge of geographical Houston and surrounding areas is a MUST LTL experience is helpful High school diploma Job Type:
