Yellowstone Landscape is now hiring for a professional and dynamic Junior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A) in Houston, Texas.
In this entry-level position, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for Yellowstone Landscape's branch financial reporting, job costing functions, job cost reporting, cost-to-complete analysis and revenue recognition accounting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze periodic labor, job cost and financial reports.
oConduct variance and trend analysis.
oExamine and review job cost records including, but not limited to, time sheets, work proposals, purchase orders, and billing invoices.
oParticipate in the monthly financial performance reviews of each branch location.
oAnalyze expenses and prepare expense analysis for the Regional Vice President of Operations review.
oWork with field managers to review accuracy of charges and project completion, including percentage completion accounting.
oAudit system entry of the above job cost records and ensure the cost data is processed accurately and timely.
oDetermine the information that needs to be reported, develop and distribute the reports.
oReport, weekly and monthly, to operations on budget versus actual costs and profitability.
oAnalyze and make necessary adjustments for recognition of revenue on both installation and maintenance projects.
oAd hoc reporting and analysis, as requiredRequirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
oTwo years related experience in a professional office setting preferred.
oProficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
oSolid communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
oSound deductive reasoning and problem solving skills.
oStrong attention to detail.
oAbility to interact effectively with all levels of staff in the organization.
oProactive with the willingness to adapt to change.
oPositive, optimistic and ambitious.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
