be responsible for leading the Gas Developer Specialist and economic development team.
The team is responsible for developing and securing revenue/margin growth opportunities in the natural gas business through developing a solid value proposition, customer engagement, and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you will:
Lead and develop a high performing exempt level team to execute strategies, generate leads, build relationships, and grow market share.
Develop metrics to track revenue growth and ensure we are capitalizing on margin growth opportunities and increase competitive market share.
Provide guidance to the team in the preparation and presentation of complex proposals, contracts, and negotiations to developers, customers, and internal leadership including senior level leadership.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project delivery.
Knowledge of natural gas markets, regulations, technologies, and trends with the ability to stay up to date on latest market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
Work closely with gas operations, contract services and other departments to enhance the service delivery process through recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work to give the customer one point of contact by working closely with the electric business to enhance processes where both gas and electric utilities are involved.
Manage departmental budget, function, and is responsible for team performance and goal attainment.
Produce and enhance business plans and metrics using broad theoretical and advanced knowledge of business development tactics.
Ability to work with minimal guidance, be initiative-taking, and deal with challenging situations and appropriately escalate.
Ability to prepare and present effective proposals, contracts, and negotiations.
Ability to conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and develop strategic business plans.
Your background includes:
Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, or related field.
Requires seven to ten (7-10) years of progressive business experience.
A bonus to have:
MBA Utility experience and an understanding of the fundamental market changes taking place in the utility industry.
Demonstrated success in fostering large customer relationships and experience providing creative customer energy solutions.
