SUMMARY The Human Resources Associate (Intern) supports the implementation, administration, and development of various human resources programs.
This team member will provide support and guidance to global business units across multiple segments.
Examples of projects include but are not limited to:
business partnering, talent review processes, workforce planning, annual merit and/or wage adjustments, salary surveys, job evaluations, and career ladder design.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Multiple Positions) May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work on integration activities related to recent acquisitions Assist with the development and implementation of a new recruiting model with a focus on university and diversity recruiting Assist with the development retirement modeling and an early notification of retirement program Form relationships and provide Business Partnering support for various client groups Support Talent Review process and complete Talent Review templates with coaching by Talent Management group.
Act as key member of annual company-wide Talent Review process for assigned business group and HR Leader.
Talent Review will include Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning, Individual Talent Review and Succession Planning for North American and global business in rapidly growing business.
Arrange and attend sessions with business leaders to prepare Talent Review materials.
Summarize findings in Talent Review template and other presentation materials, ensuring completeness.
Utilize Workday and other HRIS data bases to pull employee and manager inputs to Talent Review process.
Run reports and summarize information.
Analyze data and create charts as needed.
Provide observations, insights and opinions about talent patterns and needs to HR Leader.
Complete additional HR project as assigned by HR Leader.
May cover policy, employee relations, compensation or other topics.
Working with other members of the team and HR business partners, coordinate the preparation of career ladders for various job families Participate in compensation surveys; complete salary survey work via research, data retrieval, data computation and data manipulation; analyze results to ensure salary structure supports competitive compensation levels Support processes such as merit and wage increases, mid-year reviews and annual/quarterly incentive/bonus management Support compensation projects such as implementing, communicating and assisting with the design of incentive and base pay programs, the integration of newly acquired businesses into the Westlake compensation structure, general M&A support, pay equity analysis, and any other compensation special project as requested Perform advanced financial analysis and cost-benefit analysis to determine financial impact of management initiatives and special projects Maintains administrative procedures relative to the functions of this position; ensure accuracy of compensation-related data that is maintained within company information systems Respond to inquiries regarding compensation practices and procedures; provide support to HR Business Partners in resolving compensation-related questions and making recommendations to resolve outstanding issues.
Assist with the research and review of compensation trends and best practices in order to structure current and future compensation and total rewards programs Answer incoming calls to the HR helpline and respond to questions received via email to the shared inbox Perform other duties as and when assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Human Resources Master's degree candidate Ability to research and resolve problems or issues in a timely manner Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in a corporate environment Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work Able to work independently, and coordinate with colleagues in multiple locations world-wide Flexible demeanor and ability to work as a team Ability to maintain confidentiality, high level of attention to detail and adaptability to changing business requirements Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, required Compensation roles require strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills along with advanced knowledge in Excel PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.
Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
