Summary:
The Telecommunications Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of the Telecom services.
This position manages the 24x7 team that supports all telecommunication-related equipment across the organization.
The manager is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of all voice circuits, telephone switch equipment, VOIP systems, contact center, video conferencing and analog lines.
The Telecommunications Manager must be able to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships within the Telecom Team and with other departments and vendors, prepare budgets, manage workload, and staff, and prioritize issues and tasks.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Hire, train, and develop IT telecommunication professionals.
Document, develop, and implementation of voice and security standards to ensure adequate facilities for present and future company telecommunication needs Interact with management, staff and users to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions Establish and maintain a positive, productive relationship with operational leadership and staff.
Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise the day-to-day technical support activities, including troubleshooting, customer service issues, approvals, and installations.
Plan, organize, schedule, budget, and supervise simple and complex projects from start to finish.
Measure, monitor, and maintain team's ability to meet or exceed established KPI's and KBO's Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes.
Oversee management of equipment and parts inventory.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

years of experience Detailed knowledge of a variety of telecommunication platforms and architectures Strong analytical problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced IT environment and capable of motivating teams Experienced in making data-driven decisions.
Established time management skills with the ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously Experience in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, and asset management Proven skills in leadership development and team building.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
Strong dedication to quality customer service and superior telephone etiquette with the ability to deal effectively with customers, vendors, peers and management.
The candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and a willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of telecommunication systems with a preference for SIP-based VoIP Ability to scope, plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects with excellent communication skills both written and verbal Management of Cisco and Microsoft communication solutions - CUCM, CUC, IM&P, UCCX, Webex, Webex Contact Center, and Microsoft Teams Management of A/V solutions - Cisco Endpoints, Microsoft MTR's, Poly, Adecia, Crestron, Extron and Biamp Extensive infrastructure and application support experience using industry Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
