Manuel Solis LawFirm Manuel Solis LawFirm Houston, TX Houston, TX Full-time Full-time From $15 an hour From $15 an hour We are looking for an experienced Family Law Assistant who want to join our firm and assistant in drafting documents, researching case law, creating and responding to discovery requests, depositions, and various other duties assigned.
This is a full-time in-office position.
Preparing legal documents, complaints, responses and summons Readying materials for trial proceedings including documents, evidence and verifying factual information Researching and compiling information that helps strengthen a case for the assigned Attorney.
Communicating with Lawyers and clients to keep everyone up to date Supporting Attorneys during trial by preparing documents, fact checking, preparing evidence for presentation and tracking case developments Coordinating appointments, including all correspondence and logistics necessary Maintenance of a case log and/or file for reference and review
Qualifications:
Have at least 1 year or more of Texas Family Law experience preferred ABA-approved paralegal certificate, degree in paralegal studies preferred but not required Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent organization and time-management skills Strong attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Applications Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times Work Schedule:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
