Summary:
Full time, nonexempt position, located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
The Neurogenetics Center and Texas Institute for Restorative Neurotechnologies is recruiting a Research Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day coordination and management of a wearables study for seizure prediction and detection.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Clinical Researchers, the coordinator will assist in patient screening and recruitment, outreach, and evaluate and analyze clinical data.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.
Assist with the day-to-day project management and coordination of research projects to include personnel, facilities, supplies in support of research project desired outcomes, budgets, and timeliness.
2.
Participates in outreach activities, including patient screening, recruitment and follow up for study.
Oversees subject enrollment to ensure that informed consent is properly obtained and documented.
Tracks enrollment status of subjects, accordingly.
3.
Monitors study activities to ensure compliance with protocols and regulatory and University policies.
4.
Prepares study-related documentation such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, adverse event reports, institutional review board (IRB) documents, and progress reports.
5.
Reviews scientific literature, participates in continuing education activities and/or attends conferences and seminars to maintain knowledge of clinical studies in area.
6.
Collaborates with PI and study staff to prepare presentations or publications of study procedures, results, and findings.
7.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.
