JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Performs entry level professional accounting work in the functional area supported, such as:
Performing and reviewing reconciliation Trial balances Journal entries Preparing work papers, schedules and reports Examines a variety of accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations Ensures transactions are in accordance with applicable authority, policies, procedures, and are recorded consistent with acceptable accounting standards Provides assistance to support other accounting teams with journal entries and intercompany transactions Prepares accounting reports utilizing manual methods and / or computer software Assists with quarterly software testing Assists manager with administration of account reconciliation software MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
Experience:
One (1) year of accounting experience or equivalent experience in a related fieldKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Attention to detail Understanding of accounting principles, GAAP Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations Ability to work independently, prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines Ability to prepare and present working papers and supporting documentation Proficiency with PC software such as Excel, other Microsoft Office applications Postal Code:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
