Construction Laborer / Environmental Technician

ENTACT's Radiological Group is currently seeking entry-level technicians / laborers for plant turnaround activities.
Job duties include radiological (NORM) surveys of plant equipment utilizing hand-held radiation detectors, establishing and maintaining radiological control areas, screening plant contractor staff entering/exiting control areas, assisting with equipment decontamination processes, collecting samples from waste effluents, and other tasks.
Initial assignments will be Fall chemical plant turnaround work along the Texas gulf coast region (Mont Belvieu, Port Arthur, Freeport, Corpus Christi).
Duties will include 12 hr.
shifts, 13 days on - one day off during turnarounds.
Must be able to stand/walk long hours and occasionally climb process towers.
Training will be provided, and no experience is required.
Previous experience with radiological instrumentation or similar industrial hygiene equipment, previous plant work of any kind, or an active TWIC, are a plus.
Pay range is $17-20/hr.
plus overtime.
Travel/per diem provided for non-Houston area job sites.
Must be 18 yrs.
