Sr. Analyst - Supply Chain

SUMMARY Provide analytical and technical support in the Supply Optimization Department with shipment management, inventory management, production scheduling, S&OP processes, and user acceptance testing of new processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform supply chain and inventory analysis to improve supply chain efficiency, responsiveness, and resiliency.
Performs and assists in the shipping processes to get products from our production plants to customers, lease tracks, warehouses and terminals.
Performs and assists with month end inventory reconciliation for terminals and warehouse inventory.
Support user requests for updates and issue resolutions in supply chain applications, including understanding data sources and uses, to troubleshoot issues and to modify the data flows to and from applications for improved functionalities.
Work with users to optimize use of all functionality in the various models used to support the supply optimization team, such as demand management, inventory management, production scheduling, and distribution planning.
Suggest data and/or operating improvements, train users in these systems and participate and lead continuous improvement projects as required.
Tune statistical forecast parameters monthly to generate optimal forecast based on historical data, best fit model, and artificial intelligence/machine learning as capabilities become available.
Perform periodic economic production quantity analysis, using budget, production, and variability data resulting in guidance on optimal production quantities and cycles for assets to minimize production and holding costs.
Communicate these guidelines to production planners for implementation and monitor progress.
Performs periodic recalculation of safety stock levels, communicate these levels to planners, maintain this data in scheduling models, and monitors progress.
Support Westlake's digital transformation efforts by identifying opportunities to transform business activities, processes, and models to leverage digital technologies across the PE business.
Performs and assists with quarterly reconciliation of SIT Inventory.
Performs and assists with user acceptance testing for department IT/SAP projects.
Prepares monthly/weekly/daily reports using ERP system data, spreadsheets, and data from various other systems.
Any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.
Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Fully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS B.
S.
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or related field, with 5 years supply chain, customer service, warehouse management, or marketing experience.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proficiency with SAP/ERP systems.
Strong communications skills are required.
High accuracy of work, detail oriented, and attention to detail is a must.
Must be able to work in a pressured environment with rigid deadlines, and be willing to work extended hours when required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.
Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
Some travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
