Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)Responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business.
May analyze and put systems in place to maintain or enhance current margin levels.
Will design and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness and will track and analyze business unit trends to in turn make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the unit.
Job Responsibilities Perform margin forecasting for Calpine's generation fleet based on commodity markets, market/contract structures, asset characteristics and government regulations.
Perform analysis of business decisions and strategic issues, including issues related to plant operations and dispatch, commodity markets, asset and contract commodity margins, and transaction pricing.
Perform reporting on asset fleet's operational parameters including generation, fuel burns, heat rates, capacity factors, etc.
Perform analysis of operational issues including outage costs and optimization, operational trends, and investment analysis Coordinate with multiple functional groups/stakeholders within the company for annual budgeting/long term forecasting Margin Forecasting, Model Development, Operations Reporting, Operations Analysis, Budgeting, Asset Optimization, and Investment Analysis Support the continued development of:
Calpine's modeling infrastructure including asset and contract models as well as repositories of fundamental market data.
Periodic corporate business plan projections and commercial transaction targets.
Commercial views supporting business strategy, hedging decisions, and development/acquisition opportunities.

Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent Journey - level; Requires 3
years' experience Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience Desired Qualifications Attractive qualifications include a bachelor's or master's Degree in mathematics, computational science, engineering, finance, economics, or accounting.
Proficient with Excel model-building skills Familiarity with programming skills including one or more of the following:
VBA, R, Python Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation and two-factor forecasting models.
Experience with manipulating large amounts of data and working with structured databases (SQL, MDB) Intermediate level presentation and Power Point skills Demonstrated understanding of asset valuation methods (dispatch models, options, swaps, tolls, and PPAs).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
