Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager

DescriptionThis is a relocation opportunity located in Sewaren, NJThe Sewaren 7 Combined Cycle Power plant is a 538 MW dual-fired power project in New Jersey.
The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas.
Specializes in all aspects of environmental compliance at the fossil fueled power plant and oversees implementation and management of environmental regulatory and permit requirements as well as compliance documentation obligations.
Provides industrial safety support for a fossil fueled power plant.
Facilitates implementation of CAMS safety program by establishing and maintaining accountability for industrial health and safety performance and program administration.
Provides oversight and maintenance of Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Municipal and local laws and regulations and corporate policies.
This includes all required Safety and Environmental training, site Safety visits and self-assessments.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Performs oversight and compliance for the implementation of all necessary federal and state environmental permit requirements, including development and preparation of reports to Federal and State, Municipal and local regulatory agencies and implementing procedures, guidance, and aids to facilitate compliance.
Provides technical guidance and administrative support to ensure compliance with Federal and State, Municipal and local regulations that pertain to employee and contractor health and safety.
Develop and maintain safety and health programs in compliance with federal, state, municipal and local regulations.
Develop, implement, and complete improvement plans to support initiatives to reach top performance in safety and environmental fields.
Participate in accident/incident investigations, EH&S audits, regulatory inspections, and other components of the Environmental, Health and Safety System.
Conduct incident investigations.
Develop, prepare, and maintain records of reports to Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.
Must be able to work varying hours to support station evolutions.
RequirementsQualifications and Skills:
BS in Engineering, Environmental Science or Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of OSHA and applicable state environmental regulations.
Knowledge of applicable state, municipal and local environmental, safety and fire protection requirements.
Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Must possess a valid US driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.
A comprehensive understanding of NJ State and Federal environmental regulations and policies relevant to the operations of a power plant.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and organize teams.
Program development and training experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.
Good public speaking and presentation skills; ability to influence without authority.
Other Desirable Skills:
Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and Data Acquisition and Handling Systems (DAHS) Training in Environmental Compliance or management; CHMM or engineering professional certification (EIT or PE) Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Previous work experience in a power plant setting Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals or American Board of Industrial Hygiene Experience with web-based document management information software such as SharePoint New Jersey N2 Licensed Operator for Wastewater Treatment Plant Recommended Skills Administration Auditing Certified Hazardous Materials Manager Certified Safety Professional Communication Data Collection Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
