Our client, a leading producer in the petrochemical industry, is seeking an Air Quality Specialist in their Pasadena, TX location.
You'll ensure the organization's compliance with environmental and safety regulations, as well as uphold the principles of Responsible Care.

Ensure timely preparation, submission, and maintenance of required records, permits, and reports, following guidelines set by local, state, and federal agencies, as well as corporate policies.
Handle inquiries, including responses to Notice of Violations and enforcement actions from regulatory agencies, as well as manage the budget for the air program, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation.
Maintain and manage the air compliance system, which includes site emission monitoring, tracking systems, Gensuite ODS Sentinel, visible emission monitoring, and other related processes.
Support adherence to PSM (Process Safety Management) and RC (Responsible Care) standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Collaborate with plant operations and Maintenance teams on process troubleshooting, project reviews, management of change, PHA (Process Hazard Analysis), PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review), incident investigations, and other relevant areas.
About the Role:
Demonstrated familiarity with environmental, safety, and regulatory disciplines, showcasing a solid understanding of the key concepts in these areas.
Thorough understanding of federal and state laws related to environmental and safety regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in a professional setting.
Proven experience with TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) air permitting, including NSR (New Source Review), PBR (Permit by Rule), and Title V permits.
In-depth knowledge of TCEQ air regulations, encompassing various emissions parameters such as VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), NOx (Nitrogen Oxides), PM (Particulate Matter), EI (Emission Inventory), LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair), and others.
Possess a basic understanding of unit process operations, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to effectively comprehend and contribute to process-related discussions.
