Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program and licensed in the state of practice required Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in skilled nursing facility preferred Knowledge of care plan process.
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and resident assessment skills
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, plan and organize nursing care according to established policies.
Assists in pre-screening, room assignment and discharge of residents Sees that a nurse accompanies all physicians making rounds and that all orders are carried out Supervises all nursing activities and promotes improvement in nursing care.
Makes rounds on all residents daily.
Coordinates nursing service with other departments.
Maintains comfortable and pleasant environment and promotes elimination of hazards.
Gives daily report on conditions in nursing service to Director of Nursing.
Delegates responsibility and authority.
Assists with interviewing, evaluating and selecting new personnel.
Defines duties and interprets policies of nursing services.
Performs On-Call duty as assigned and covers a LVN floor shift, as needed.
Notifies the physician, resident, and family/POA of any new or unusual findings as indicated.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
