Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Relations/Performance Improvement Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing patient satisfaction and experience while also driving performance improvement initiatives within our organization.
You will collaborate with various departments, healthcare providers, and support staff to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and implement solutions to enhance patient care delivery.
Your goal will be to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care and have positive interactions throughout their healthcare journey.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Patient Relations Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and their families, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt, professional, and empathetic manner.
Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and met.
Conduct patient satisfaction surveys, analyze feedback, and identify opportunities to improve the patient experience.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to implement initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and engagement.
Develop and implement programs to educate patients about their rights, responsibilities, and available resources.
2) Performance Improvement Collect and analyze data related to healthcare delivery processes, patient outcomes, and quality indicators.
Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement performance improvement projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Facilitate process improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvement initiatives and make necessary adjustments as needed.
3) Stakeholder Collaboration & Engagement Foster collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, administrators, and support staff to promote a patient-centered culture.
Collaborate with department heads and leaders to ensure consistent implementation of patient-centered care strategies across all departments.
Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, promoting effective communication and resolving conflicts, if any.
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop and distribute patient education materials and resources.
4) Compliance and Documentation Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies related to patient relations and performance improvement.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient feedback, complaints, and improvement initiatives.
Prepare reports and presentations on patient satisfaction, performance improvement efforts, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or hospitality Prior experience in patient relations, patient experience, performance improvement, or a similar role in a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of patient-centered care principles and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to drive improvement initiatives.
Proficient in using technology and software applications for data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PDSA preferred, not required.
