Meets and collaborates with clients, engineers, sales team, and other staff to understand the products being developed.
Reviews and analyzes existing and proposed processes, staff, and materials, reading blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates and identifies cost-reduction opportunities.
Determines needs for additional staff, machinery, materials, and other resources.
Estimates costs of new equipment or capital investment necessary for production.
Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research; distributes reports to engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Prepares reports forecasting production scenarios; makes recommendations based on findings.
Identifies the pricing structure required for products to sell at profit.
Identify factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials and labor.
Maintain records of estimated and actual costs Analyzes actual production costs and makes recommendations for cost reductions on future builds.
Monitors costs during production and estimates final costs based on progress to date.
Reviews labor hours for accuracy.
Track production efficiency, utilization and productivity and report out action's improvements.
Monitor and Audit jobs for transaction control of materials, labor clocking, and sub-contract cost.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
