Working as Full-time Manufacturing Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of production within this team.
This role is an integral part of our manufacturing leadership team.
You will be responsible for monitoring and developing the employees within the team, planning production, keeping the production scheduler current, advising the sales group on machine times, and maximizing job efficiencies.
You will be expected to lead by example at all times while encouraging and developing a workplace atmosphere within the team that fully embraces Fastenal's cultural values of integrity, innovation, ambition, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to o Troubleshooting manufacturing processes, machinery and tooling o Managing all aspects of employees within the group including training and mentoring, reviews and disciplinary action o Developing analysis and effective recommendations for the improvement of operational methods to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality o Assisting with quoting and costing activities o Managing projects in Lean and waste reduction o Advocating, driving, and innovating our 6S program o Communicating priorities and expectations from shift to shift o Maintaining a channel of communication between the leadership team and team members REQUIRED POSITION
Qualifications:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work o Possess at least 2 years of Fastenal manufacturing work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Knowledge of CNC and manual machining processes o Knowledge of Mastercam o Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION
Qualifications:
o Possess a 2 year Tool and Die certificate o Demonstrate consistent leadership and mentoring abilities ABOUT US:
