The Global Pricing Analyst will be part of an international team performing forward price curve designs, price validations and curve uploads as required for the Phillips 66 Commercial organization.
This analyst works closely with the mid office and systems support groups to ensure that the 'right prices are delivered to the right systems at the right time'.
The role is critical to the integrity of our daily Profit / Loss and Value at Risk calculations, and supports our trading organizations in North America, London, and Asia.
o Responsibilities May Include
Designing and maintaining price curves for our global portfolios
Working with systems support teams to ensure that curve designs meet customer requirements are completed in a timely manner
Performing end of day manual curve uploads and developing quality assurance checks to ensure that manual prices are correct for overnight business processes
Driving consistency in curve designs across different target systems and regions
Designing time adjusted price curves to ensure traders in different regional offices have locally timed price curves for Profit / Loss measurement
Working with IT to automate price delivery into the target systems and reduce the number of curves that require manual loading
Working with the risk analysts to review Profit/Loss, Mark to Market and VaR results for accuracy
Maintaining data on manually loaded curves for periodic audit inquiries and external financial disclosures o Required Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country
Bachelor's degree or higher
1 or more years of experience building or validating prices
1 or more years of experience working with Excel models o Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management systems (e.
g.
, Morningstar/LIM, SAP, Aligne, Allegro)
1 or more years of experience working with position valuation calculations
3 or more years of experience with the mid/back office responsibilities of an energy trading organization
Familiarity with crude oil, refined products, renewables, natural gas, and power trading
Ability to provide pricing support on days when commercial conducts business (will include some corporate holidays)
Proficiency maintaining complex Excel models that use visual basic
Ability to develop SQL queries to analyze data
Excellent interpersonal and team skills
Strong customer service focus
Detail oriented and organized
Flexible and able to adapt
Must interact well with the traders, position control analysts, finance, and accounting groups in a trade floor environment o Description Exempt - Include all employees (typically with backgrounds in financial fields) in all organizational units, at all levels, with and without college degrees, who are analyzing and reporting earnings and costs, developing and monitoring capital budgets, preparing and consolidating near-term financial forecasts, performing detailed analyses of issues and other factors affecting changes in financial results, or participating in the preparation of internal or external financial-related communications.
This includes all Treasury activities such as mergers and acquisitions, banking and cash management, and capital allocation.
